Budgets

Each year the Parish Council prepares a draft budget at the November meeting for the forthcoming year (April to March). The budget is again examined at the January meeting, if required, and the precept is agreed and the request signed and submitted to the billing authority - West Suffolk Council.

The precept is the amount of money (council tax) that a precepting authority (in this case the Parish Council) requires the billing authority to collect and pay over to it in order to finance its net expenditure.
